We require that you apply no later than 30 days PRIOR to the start of any activities in Alabama, submit an application to the film office; meet the minimum in-state spending requirement of at least $500,000; and, begin principal photography (anywhere) within 90 days of application approval.
Each production must be 100% fully funded. A complete description is required showing how the project will be financed. Documentation satisfactory to the Alabama Film Office must be submitted with the application demonstrating that the funds are secured (e.g., bank statement, written confirmation from financier, etc.). If satisfactory documentation is not provided, the application will not be approved.
